Can I buy a ticket from a US airline when i live in the UK?

I have found a flight that I want for $774 which would cost me £416.

The same flight from a british website is £452.80.

can i buy the ticket from the US website or would it have to be from a UK site?

    we bought tickets from an irish airline and we live in the US


  2. You can buy it from the US website as long as they accept foreign credit cards.  However, it's not necessarily a good idea.

    If you need support from customer service, you have to make a transatlantic phone call. That can be very expensive, especially if you get placed on hold. E-mail support may work, but not always for complex issues.

    I formerly worked for a US travel website and we occasionally had British customers. However, they ran up some large phone bills if they had a problem. I always suggested that they buy from a British website in the future.

  3. It is a global economy so you should have no problem unless the airline has imposed it's own restrictions.

    You may get stung for the postage though!

  5. you should have no problem buying it from a US site. i have friends who buy their tickets for Ryan Air (in Europe) and British airways from the US. i don't see why you would have trouble.
