Can I buy absinthe in Barcelona?

Question

Only have a few hours shopping on Las Ramblas. Do general liquor stores carry it, or do you have to know a special place to go?

I don't know why you should go to turkey to buy absinthe, as it is a drink that originated in Switzerland and spread in france. Until about a decade ago it was banned in most European countries, but it was eventually legalized. this was not the case for spain where they never banned it in the first place.
in Barcelona you can find a bar who sells it for 5 euros a glass, called Bar Marsella. it is located in one of the side streets of La Rambla, the main touristic street in Barcelona (look it up in google maps). I suggest you don't go alone, because it is an alley full of pickpockets, hookers and drug dealers. I went alone and I ended up not enjoying my absinthe at all, because all I could think about was getting the h**l outta there as soon as possible without getting mugged.

All In all the absinthe was very good an the atmosphere very bohemienne.
I don't know if they sell bottles of absinthe in bar marsella, but I know there's a liquor store in placa unversitat (just outside the Universitat metro station, linea 3) that's specialized in absinthe, and sells Spanish "absentas" as well as  a few foreign ones.
