Can I buy my own car? I'm 16 years old?

I recently saw a used Ford Escape on a lot in Virginia. I live in North Carolina. Anyways, is it possible for me to buy my own car and make payments? And how do I do that if it is? Do I just call the place and tell them I'm 16 or what?

By the way, I'm getting a job here in the next couple of weeks, so I wont be depending on anyone for the payments.

yes you can but you would need a co-signer or pay in full. your best option is to talk to people you know that have a few extra cars.

the cars might not be to nice but, they will most likely be cheap and you will probably wreck it anyway.

i bought a brand new pt cruiser in 2004 and the day i finished paying for it i totaled it.

about 4 days later i went to my friends dad and he sold me an 89 ford ranger for 300 dollars and its the car that i am driving now.... the chrysler was my first car. think about how i feel now
