Im currently with Lloyds TSB car insurance but when i check all the comparison sites they are showing as the cheapest again this year. My question is could I cancel my policy a few days before its due to end. Then join as a new customer?

  1. For car insurance the quickest way to get a low quote is do a auto policy comparison. If you choose the same coverage amounts, you can get an fast quote to compare against others. Use the same zip code, auto make and model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get mulitple auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Aut... and you can compare the major auto insurance companies.

  2. based upon my own experience, here is a good resource that I have good luck with and would like to share with.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  3. That would likely be a bad idea.  The company will know what you are doing.  You was clear as to what the advantages are for doing that.  I would think that any advantage would be also offered to existing customers?

Talk to your agent about what would best for you.  Also, what laws within your state might cover your situation.

  4. For automobile insurance the best way to get a fantastic quote is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make certain that you compare similar policies with the same deductibles, auto model, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

What I usually recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have lots of insurers and can give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.

  5. Try this one - http://carinsurance.enacre.net - I personally switched to their car insurance from Lloyds, cause it is the cheapest for my family in our area.

  6. Of course you can. The on-line sites are brokers just as you have most likely purchased your current insurance through a broker.

There is no need to cancel your current insurance, just do not renew it. Buy from whoever you like, there is no penalty. If you cancel however you may be charged an administration  fee.

Remember that both the insurers and the brokers are vying for your business and will not impose restrictions even if the new quote is with the same company. I did this a couple of years ago when I moved brokers, My insurance was almost half as much as my renewal quote and yet with the same company. Incidentally I now insure through the Post Office, great service and fantastic prices, give them a try through their website.
