Can I cancel my gym aggreement?

I filled in the form and said I agreed to a direct debit being taken from my account in 4 weeks time. After reading the form at home I could see it was not for me, but the form says I cannot cancel. please help.

When did you sign the contract?  I think most places now have a 7 day cooling off period where you can cancel a contract, so if you are still within the 7 days I would give them a call and check. However usually if you signed a contract (after the 7 days) you are tied in for a year.  At my gym I signed for a year or you could do a monthly one you could cancel but that was almost £10 more a month.  

    Either way give them a call and see what they say and stay firm as they will always try and convince you to stay

  4. with david lloyd gyms you need to give them three months notice before you can leave (daylight robbery). not sure with other gyms but just cancel your direct debit with the bank, and put in writing to the gym you no longer wish to go, you will soon here from them if you owe them any money for breaking any contract you may have.
