I know for sure that in the State of California that you can cancel your teenager's (Under 18) Driver's License, but what about in Minnesota?

I need to cancel it not only for discipline matters, but also to remove his name off of my insurance policy.

  1. Any license can be canceled by going down to the DMV and turning in the license.  Whether you can do it yourself, or you will have to take you son down (even better punishment) is the issue.  But, that's how its done.  Most insurance policies don't need a remanded license to be removed from a policy, you should just be able to do it.

My nephew's parents just made him turn his in (in Connecticut).

  2. I would call your local Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV)/Driver License Bureau & they'd know. I tried looking it up to no avail.

  3. Yes you can cancel his or hers license at any time in your state by just going down to the department of motor vehicles and fill out the necessary paperwork, you will also need to contact your insurance company and sign off on their paperwork as well.........................

  4. Now why would you do something as cruel as that?

  5. In Delaware, it is called a rescinded license.  My mother did it to me twice after she kicked me out.
