The over all box size is 100 x 66 x 23 cms. As per my information air india has only weight ristrictions of maximum32 kgs. The LCD TV box i wish to carry weighs 22 kgs.

My question is, will I be able to get this box through the x-ray machine? What is the maximum size to pass through x-ray machines at international air ports? Are they standard or do they very depending upon the nation and city? I am flying from Jeddah to Mumbai.

What shall be the duty? The purchase cost is around 30k INR.

  1. Yes you can.  you are going to run into some fees. here is the air india blog about baggage.  It looks like you might slide through as long as your weight is OK.
