I am going on holiday to lanzarote and I am flying with thomas cook and leaving frm east midlands airport(UK). I am a little confused with the liquid allowance that I have heard about. Can I carry bottles of liquid, such as shower gels and perfume, that are over 100ml in my suitcase? Also, do i have to put them in a clear re-sealable bag or is that just if you are carrying them in your handluggage?

  1. Over 100ml in the hold.

Under 100ml in a clear bag for hand luggage

  2. it's better you check with your airline or local airport,I don't see any problem if you are taking that bottle in your luggage bags.but carry on handbags nowadays they always have some restrictions.

  3. You can have any amount of liquid in your luggage that is going in the hold. They don't have to be in a clear re sealable bag, the restrictions only apply to hand luggage.

    Enjoy your holiday :)

  4. There are know limits with liquids in suitcases-just hand luggage. Liquids in hand luggage can only be 100ml & must be in a clear bag.

  5. you are only allowed one 100ml bottle to carry on the plane,  put shower gels in plastic bags in your suitcase, incase they open, wear slip on type shoes because they will ask you to remove them at customs.  have a good 1

  6. you can carry any amount of liquid you like in suitcase in hold-but the more you take the greater risk of leakage into contents of case-at least if just shower gels/perfume you will smell really nice on holiday.

  7. There is no problem with having them in your checked luggage.  The restrictions you refer to apply to items you want to take with you on the plane as carry-on luggage.
