So I have someone wanting to send me a money order, but I not familiar with it. So I was wondering instead of cashing at the post office or any other places can I just go to B of A to deposit the money there? Does it work the same way like how checks work? Also does it have to be a specific kind or are all money orders the same? Thanks!

  1. Yes money orders are legal tender. Any bank will cash it and convenience stores as well. Good luck spending money!

  2. YES

  3. BoA should be able to cash your money order.  I would go to the teller window (not the ATM) to speak with them directly, but it should be treated as just another check.  I work for their competitor in check processing, we handle them just as though they were a check.

  4. ~~It will be processed just the same as if you were depositing a check.~~
