  1. Yes you can. However, the Peso is currently stronger than the Bolivar so you won't get that good of a deal. You might want to get US Dollars or even Euros for a better, more stable deal - if you see what I mean.

    Anyway, welcome to Colombia!!!

  2. You shouldn't have any problems, but you might have problems in the USA and other first world nations. The Venezuelan economy is in bad shape and heavy inflation has made the currency very undesirable for bureaus to exchange. When the Argentine economy collapsed a few years ago, I could not find a single bureau in New York that would sell or buy Argentine pesos.  Even in Buenos Aires, I had the choice of withdrawing my funds in dollars than pesos.

Again, you shouldn't have any problems with exhcanges at the airport or at border crossings, but everywhere else you might have problems.

  3. Yes you can!!! Especially in the airport like the other guy said....in the casa de cambios

    good luck

  4. Yes you can!! Try the airport in Colombia :) good luck and enjoy colombia! i am colombian living in California!

  5. Sure u can, check in the airport and there you will find a place to change your Bolivares, im Colombian living in Australia now but i have been traveling everywhere.

There re also some 'casas de cambio' that can change your Bolivares, not every single one but im pretty sure u will be able to find one, dont worry about that.

Good luck and enjoy ur trip!
