Contact Photobucket.com tech support. Many sites do not allow you to change your username. However, their customer service or tech support people may be able to do it for you. If not, it may be possible to create a new account and ask them to transfer everything over from the old one and to delete it. Finally, as a last ditch effort, you can simply create a new account with the name you want, and transfer everything yourself, file by file. Good luck!

Usernames cannot be edited or changed. If you would like a different username you must delete your current account and register a new account.

To cancel your account, log into your Photobucket account and click on 'Account Options' in the upper right hand corner of the page. Once you are in Account Options, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the 'CANCEL ACCOUNT' link.

On the new cancel page that loads, you will be asked to enter a security code to confirm that the cancel request is being entered by you. After entering the security code, click on the 'Delete My Account' button.

This will send a request to have the account deleted. You will receive an email informing you that you have 48 hours to cancel the request with instructions on how to do so. Once the 48 hours expires, the account will be deleted and none of the content in your account will be available nor can it be restored. Photobucket does not maintain backup files of user content so please be sure to backup all of your images and videos on your personal computer before you process the request to cancel your account.
