Can I change out my helio phone without going through the company?!?

My phone broke and im not up for a upgrade for another 6 months. I looked on craigslist and found my phone for 200$$ cheeper. Is there any way to change out my phone without going through the provider??? If so how?!?

yha just buy the device make sure its not black listed meaning the device was stolen and the phone isnt programable then go to helio sign in to your acount and theirs a link that says change device and fill the info

You have to eventually go to your service provider to activate the new phone but you don't have to purchase it through them. What you do need to do is check the ESN of this new phone with Helio to make sure that there won't be any problems with activating it. Do it before you buy it. If this phone was lost or stolen, and reported as such to Helio, they may refuse to activate it.
