I have seen this car sitting in a fenced lot for almost a year, has a flat tire, and old tags. Can I still claim it? How?

  1. no u have to get ur name registerd in it and everything why would u do that u dont know what could be wrong with that thing car bomb anything im just trying to keep your safety and if some1 sees u they would probably call the cops or the cops could see you even worse

  2. Ask whoever owns the land about the owner. If they aren't able to help, contact your DMV or it's equivalent how to go about finding the owner. It isn't just a matter of "claiming it". You have to acquire it legally.

  3. Legally, no.  Illegally, h**l CHYEA!  But don't...

  4. Of course not.  It isn't yours.  It belongs to someone and that someone, it seems to me, can park it anywhere he wants for as long as he wants.

If is, say. a (truly) abandoned car that was stolen, then it belongs to the police.

  5. Make sure nobody ownes it first. Then you would have to fix it up. But first get it regestered and all that stuff.

  6. Just take it

  7. Go to city hall find out the owner of the property. Then call them, they might let you take it for free if they don't want it anymore. But you can't just take it.
