Can I claim an exemption from jury duty if I am a college student?

I live in Texas -- Potter County. Jury Duty would not cause me to miss class, but possibly miss class work if the trial went more than a day. Is the exemption only valid if it would cause you to be absent from school? Because in my case it would not. Please let me know, thanks!

I do not know but think that you would probably learn a great deal

being a Juror.

Yes, exactly for that reason; the trial may go on being longer and make you miss school, and they don't want that.
