You may be able to. It could depend on what industry you are in, whether your uniform can only be worn at work (eg bears a company logo), and whether or not employer provides laundry facilities at work.

Some industries have a fixed-rate expense allowance, as agreed by unions. If you come under that, the allowance is fixed, whether you actually incur the full expense, or not. Otherwise amount will be decided by tax office. Has anyone else at your workplace got it?

When you claim from tax office, staff will need to know what industry you are in, and the nature of your job.

There is a fixed allowance from the inland revenue. Used to be worth about £60 on your tax code.
