Can I claim to be the "most trusted" company in our field?

I want to add the slogan "the most trusted name in private staffing" as our business tag line. Do I need some type of approval for this and can I trademark the statement?

Yes.

You can make any reasonable claim you want in your advertising.  

The courts have ruled that it doesn't even have to be true as the public expects exaggerated claims to be made.

The only thing that might affect you is that you must be the first in your field to make the claim.  Otherwise whoever made it first can sue you and probably be able to make you stop using the claim.

Yeah, it sounds crazy, but that's the way it is.
