Can I claim valley girl clothing and supre clothing as a tax decuction?

I wear there cloths for work we don't have a set uniform for the office and I was just wondering if it can be classified as a tax deduction.

  1. lol, no. If that were possible, everyone would be doing that.  You can deduct gas, office suplies, maybes client lunches, and other stuff that pertains to work. Now, if you had to purchase a uniform for your office that was mandatory, then I think you would be able to claim it. Good luck!

    I know I could claim for my uniform but any other bits (jacket, etc) I couldn't claim for because I could "wear them outside of work"... haha, I wouldn't wear my work jacket anywhere but work!

    EDIT: This question has been asked in Aust answers, we don't have 1099's and IRS over here. I'm assuming Sk8r Pimp is an Aussie, if not, please don't read my answer :)

  7. No, unless it was for a uniform use (polo shirts, slacks) but you can use the following tax deductions.

    1) purchase of a laptop/desktop

    2) office equiment printer (make sure it is an all in one fax, copier, scanner and printer)
