  1. Go here http://www.entitledto.org/ and put in what you earn when you started etc (you don't have to give any identifiably info like name / NI number /address) and It tells you what tax credits, benefits, and anything else you are entitled to.

  2. Your ex is wrong, you can claim working tax credits from the day you start work. Apply now because they will even back date your entitlement 3 months, so though you apply tommorrow for instance, they will pay you from may!

  3. you can claim as soon as u start work as long as u have a low income and don't have saving of £16,000 or more. I think u can claim online if not you can get the number to ring then claim over the phone im sure they ask to see 3 months worth of bank statements to prove what money u get etc but if u been working a couple of months u should have some to send them

  4. I've no idea but the buggers over paid me and are now insisting that I pay it back at 100 quid a month

  5. yes i think anyone who is employed can claim working tax credits get in touch with the department of work and pensions and they will give you more advice good luck

  6. Like Janey, i dont know, but like Janey they over paid me despite me giving the correct information when applying for it. Like Janey, they are trying to claim the overpayment back, though i am fighting that as it was their error. The trouble is, in a dispute, they are basically Judge and Jury. They will listen to an appeal, reject it, and say there is no appeal against that decision.
