Can I clean my Blackberry 8830?

Question

I have the Blackberry 8830 World Edition phone and the track ball will work every direction except when I want to scroll down. I went to the beach so I think maybe a piece of sand somehow got wedged down under the track ball somehow. Is there a way to clean this out or fix this problem does anyone know?

go to a fix workshop or something,were they can take it apart and put it back together.
