I was a seasonal employee for a large company in Wisconsin. I was let go last week because I fell into the 4% unexcused absense quota, but I had no warning from a supervisor. Would I qualify for unemployment?

  1. Here is the #'s Milwaukee 414 438 7713

                          Madison    608 232 0824

                           Toll free    800 494 4944

Always worth a try! Good luck!

  2. Doubt it, but you can check and see. Just so you know, you're lucky you weren't fired sooner. When I was 17, I accidentally screwed up my schedule for work at my part time job, and had one 'no call, no show'. They fired me the same day.

  3. If you were given the policy when you started, especially as a seasonal employee, you're out of luck. Accepting a job you know is seasonal means the government will call you on it. They do not generally pay unemployment benefits for seasonal jobs. The same reason teachers don't get it in the summertime.

  4. yes you can!

  5. Don't know about your state, but non-attendance is good cause.  Company policy might require warnings, but the law does not.
