Can I compost muffins?

My company had a buffet today and there are a lot of leftover muffins (cranberry, blueberry, cinnamon, chocolate, etc). Can I throw these in my compost? Will my worms hate me?

  1. If they have preservatives, I wouldn't, also it is not good to put things with a lot of fat in your compost.


  2. Yes you can compost them basiclly anything that was once living can be composted.

  4. Sure, just make sure you bury them deep enough to avoid any pests getting to them.

  5. Baked goods can be composted, theoretically. But they contain fat and sugar and can attract rodents and raccoons, so they are much less desirable than vegetable matter.
