Can I conceive a baby on today?

My husband and I are trying to conceive and the first day of my last period was on 7/14; base on the calendar my ovulation day is 7/28, but I’m going to be out of town. If I have s*x on today 7/24 what are my chances on conceiving?

Obviously the best time to conceive is as close to ovulation as possible. However, having intercourse today (4 days before ovulation) could lead to pregnancy as sperm can survive up to 5 days. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and my husband and I had intercourse 5 days before I ovulated (we weren't ttc). So it's definitely possible. Also, maybe you'll ovulate a couple of days early so it's worth a try! Good luck!

egg and sperm last about 3-4 days inside the woman's body.

so it could be possible.

but those calendars are wrong most of the time.

they put that it's 2 weeks before your period.

and i avoided s*x then because i wasn't ready for a baby.

and mine turned out to be 1 week before my period.

so you can try.

It is possible. The sperm can live for a few days inside of you. And not everyone ovulates exactly on the 14th day. Hope everything works out for you!

It is possible, as other posters said. Besides, why not have it for pure fun? And maybe you'll get surprised then LOL
