Can I connect a SVGA-3 RCA from my PC to my HDTV and get sound from the TV if I already connected DVI-HDMI?

I've connected a DVI to HDMI and already got the image up. Except I dont want to use my computer speakers and want to use the TV speakers. I've seen various cables. Trying to figure out which one is best for my PC. I have a VGA output so figured that might work. But this cable does Video and Sound so not sure if it'll cross with the DVI output and s***w up. Whats my best option?

  1. hey there,

DVI doesn't support audio, i believe, so the DVI-HDMI cable you're using right now can't transfer sound.

what i would recommend is a stereo to phono dongle/adapter.

hook up the stereo jack to the "line-out" on your computer, or the "headphone" jack, and connect the phono end to the appropriate audio input on your tv.

feel free to email me if you're not sure about something.

    regards, jawala
