Can I connect a hard drive to a 360 arcade?

I was wondering if I can go out and buy a hard drive and just connect it to my xbox 360 arcade? I DO NOT have live and i didnt know if i would have to install an update or something?

if it has a usb port then buy a hard drive in the shop about 500gb @ £60-200/$130-400

go for the seagate 500gb its easy to use with the 360 and for the pc. Its external so u connect via usb to the 360 and play music, videos.

yeah the xbox 360 arcade is the same as the go pro just it doesnt come with all of the stuff. the hard drives are 100$ to200$ i think

yea all you got to do is go buy a hard drive and take the cover off the top of the console and put it on. if your going to get online i suggest the higher GB but if not u can just get a twenty GB
