Can I connect bose jewel speakers to a regular receiver, by changing the ends on the speaker cable?

Unfortunately what you are trying to do cannot be done.  The impedances from the Bose speakers will not match the impedance on the amplifier.  This will cause the amplifier to automatically power itself down once you try and turn it above -50 or so.  If you are somehow able to turn it up past there, it will likely cause wear and tear on your amplifier and could damage it.  You'll either have to come up with another acoustimas module or need to scrap or sell the speakers.
