Can I connect to xBox live by using my regular coaxial cable conection?

Ok so I'm new to xBox live.

At my apartment I have free cable, no wireless or internet, just regular cable. what do I need to do, if possible, to connect to xbox live using it? Do I just need the cable modem, coaxial cable, and ethernet cable????

Or is this not even possible without internet?
