Can I convince myself that I'm not ugly?

I'm ugly. Every time I see a picture of myself all I can think of is the ugliness of my face and fat body... I mean my BMI's right on the border or high normal to low overweight so I'm not obese but it feels like I am. Can I do anything to feel more normal (I'm too busy with school and my genetics research to do anything about my weight...) or would it be useless to even try?

oh yeah, this may seem strange, but I'm a guy (I could see how many people would think this sounds like something a girl would put on here)

  1. Write something down on a piece of paper that you like about yourself; mentally or physically. EVERYDAY!

it could help you focus on your strengths rather than your flaws.

  2. The important thing to always remember is that we never see ourselves as others see us. While you may think you are ugly others may see you in a different way.

Look for the beauty in side of you. And yes you can do that even if you are a boy or man. That is what really counts in the long run.

  3. Do something about it.

Doing nothing but looking at yourself and saying "Eww!" wont do anything.

Excersize more, watch what you eat, maybe even get a new hair cut, you know, change yourself to make yourself look like what you want to look like.

To know that you are making progress will also have an effect on your mind, it will help you believe that you are getting better, and you are getting prettier each day.

Also, you could take a bold chance and ask your friends if you are ugly. Their opinion has an effect to what you think of yourself as well.

    I hope this helps :)
