Can I delete this file on my camera's memory card?

It's a DSC file. I'm not sure what that file is, but it looks like it's the file that keeps the date and time on the camera.

yeah probably, but you might think twice about it if u want to take pics with the dates and times. if u really want to u can insert it into a computer and delete it from there.
