  1. No, expired means expired, as in not good any more.

You can send it back to the IRS and ask them to replace it.

  2. Try it.  Just don't spend it for at least 2 weeks to give it time to clear.  If it gets returned, you can probably get a new check issued.  Tax return money is yours, regardless if the check is expired.  The money is waiting for you, you might have to do some legwork to get it though.

  3. not just the check expired!! some brain cells too!!  common sense says its expired and no good as in you screwed up!!!!!!  contact the the irs and explain your position,, they will request to see the check and may re-issue you another... geeeezzzz

  4. The bank won't accept it.  Return it to IRS and request a replacement.

  5. no because its expired and the bank wont do it because its bank policy, sorry

  6. A check is good for 6 months, unless otherwise stated.

You can try to deposit it.  The teller may not notice the date.  I'm a teller and we are getting sooo many tax checks right now that I highly doubt the teller will even look at the date; probably just assume it's another stimulus check.

I also doubt it will bounce.  If anything, you can get it re-issued by the government.

  7. If it has expired then it's no good!!!

  8. I doubt it since it's expired.  Contact the IRS and see if it could be replaced.
