Can I dig up some of my existing monkey grass and replant it in September?

I live in hardiness zone 7, southwest USA, very hot and humid. Rarely gets cold until October. Do you think this monkey grass will take hold enough to survive? Thanks.

Certainly it will I am in zone 8b..but your right above me..it only needs about 2 to 3 weeks to have a new good root system...
