How do you do this for free?

no,there are no web sites that have free info. but you can look up some public records if you know the name ,county ,state ,and certain dates

I know of a good site, however it costs money but it has a ton of records.. its worth it.. try http://www.v1g.org

No all of these damb sites that say free background checks are gimmiks...

Unfortunately, aside from doing the footwork yourself by going to the local courthouse, nothing is going to be free.  The websites out there which claim to be free usually give very minimal information (which most of the time is inaccurate) and then charge you for more detail.
