Can I do my 40 hours community service - court requirement at an animal shelter?

I have to do 40 hours community service in Georgia. Can I do this at an animal non profit organization, such as an animal shelter?

Or does a court order have to be 40 hours with a human organization instead (ie salvation army, goodwill, hospitals etc non animal charities etc)

  1. I had to do 40 hours in comm. service also and i did all of it at the local animal shelter so yes u can! Hope i helped!


  2. the court will tell you where you will do your c/s,its not your choice.

  3. I think it should qualify.  You will have to ask whoever is coordinating you community service requirements.
