  1. SSE stands for Streaming SIMD Extensions 2

SIMD stands for Single Instruction, Multiple Data

It's an instruction set found on processors. It's not something you can download, it's whether your processor has it doesn't.

So you will need to upgrade your processor if your current one doesn't have SSE2

    To find out, use Cpu-Z

A freeware program that provides some information about your CPU

Cpu-Z allows you to get some info on your computer, including:

    ï¿ Processor name and vendor

    ï¿ Core stepping and process

    ï¿ Processor package

    ï¿ Processor current core voltage

ï¿ Internal and external clocks, clock multiplier

    ï¿ Partial overclock detection

ï¿ Processor features, including supported instructions sets.

ï¿ L1 to L3 cache information : location, size, speed, technology.

ï¿ Motherboard information : name, vendor, BIOS, chipset, memory, AGP.

ï¿ Memory information : size, type, timings, specifications.

  2. Nope... SSE2 is a feature of your CPU, that helps it do video manipulations and massive data processing quickly. If you don't have it... Hmmm... How old IS that CPU of yours?
