If your DVR has a coax-cable output and your computer has a coax-input you can record your programs onto your computer with the appropriate software.- something like ArcSoft ShowBiz or something similar.

I'm sure there is a way you can do that. My DVR has an option to "Copy to VCR" but I am sure if you hook the cable up to your computer I'm sure it would work the same. The hard part will be finding the cable to hook up your DVR to your computer.
