Ok, I swear I've asked 300 questions about me getting my molars out, but I keep thinking of questions and I want to do things right! And I can never seem to find answers anywhere else.

So, I had three molars out yesterday. What will happen if I drink coffee? I think I'm going through caffeine withdrawal, so... will it be ok, or not?

  1. If you are allowed (what instructions did your dentist give?) to drink anything more than small sips of water there is no reason you can't drink coffee.  Go easy though as your mouth will still be sensitive.

  2. Any beverages should be body temperature. It's less of a shock to your system and less upset if any gets in the wounds. Straws aren't the best idea because the suction used to draw the beverage through the straw can contribute to bleeding.

I hope you're feeling GREAT soon.

  3. I had a molar pulled last saturday and the same day i took some soup to the face with no problem so you should be alright!!
