  1. of course you can. I love all of those.  Plus I like oolong tea.  I personally wouldn't add too much sugar or milk in them.  You pretty much alter the taste of the tea.  straight up or with a little stevia is perfect.

  2. I would reccoment more green and white teas, if you'r looking at drinking LOTS... black teas you should stick with only a cup or two.

Green and white teas have plenty of great health benefits, as well as having many antioxidents in them .PLUS they usually are decaffeinated, so they'r not dehydrating you like black tea would. ( as many black teas are all caffeinated) They are great because they are yummy with just a little bit of honey and they'r light.

They do account for a great portion of your water intake...but be sure to drink lots of pure water throughout the day as well.

  3. You can replace some of the water but not all of it with tea. Green, black and white tea still has caffeine in it. Caffeine takes more water to process than the teas provide so it will actually dehydrate you. If you drank nothing but soda and tea all day you would end up with severe dehydration.

The maximum safe amount of caffeein we can take in a day is 300mg. More than that we start to get many more health problems besides dehydration. Green and white tea has less caffeine than black tea. It has only 30mg per serving as opposed to 50mg in black tea.

For proper health we need 1 ounce of water for every 2 pounds of body weight plus 8 more ounces for every 20 minutes of exercise. With hot/dry days and climates even more will be needed.

You can use the above to see how much water you will need and how much caffeine replacing that amount of water with the tea.

  4. If you want to.

  5. That depends....

Green tea is a diuretic (which means it removes excess water from the body and causes you to urinate more frequently)... if you were to drink green tea all day in the "exclusion" of water you'd probably faint or worse due to dehydration (I've gotten sick from drinking too much)... also... when you first take it, because it is a diuretic and has such strong properties your body might not get used to high amounts right away....

Start out with one to two cups per day then work your way to three to four (those are recommended for maximum health benefits over time)...

BUT YOU "HAVE TO" TAKE IN WATER DAILY!

If you'll be drinking a "diuretic" that takes water out... you'll need to replenish that water in your system by taking sufficient amounts of water in...

You should be drinking 8, 8 oz. glasses of water per day....

  6. Yes, water is water and tea has a lot of health benefits.  Asians drink tea day and night and they have the longest lifespans of any people.

  7. Yes you can.  However, tea does contain caffeine.  You can drink tea all day.  Green and White teas have high antioxidant, which is good for you.
