Can I drive in the U.S. with a military driver's license?

I completed drivers ed in the States and had a permit, then my family moved overseas and I eventually got a military-issued drivers license to drive in that country. I go to college in the States now and will eventually need to get a stateside license. Can I temporarily drive with the military license? And when I go to get my license, will I be able to "transfer" my military license to obtain a stateside one?

  1. I doubt it. You will probably be required to pass the tests for the State you live in. Call the States DMV.
