Question:

Can I dye my hair dark blue without bleaching it?

I have been dyeing my hair black, but I want to try a really dark blue. I want it to be a deep, subtle color...not a bright blue.

I have tried using black dye with a blue tint, but that's not quite blue enough.

If I just use dark blue dye will it come out like that without me having to bleach it?

  1. no. black is really hard to get rid of. i tried all kinds of stuff, i eventually just had to bleach it.

if you can afford it, i would go to a salon, the bleach they use is a lot better for your hair then the stuff you buy at the store.

  2. go to a salon

  3. no

  4. ok

  5. i don't think so. not if you have black hair.

  6. You shouldn't bleach your hair.. its very veryy damaging. Ive bleached my hair about 10 times in my life, and cut it all off and regrew everything. That's how damaged it was.

I can suggest... if you have dark hair, try dying it a really light brown (close to blond), and then using a dark blue dye in your hair. It should be dark enough blue, but not too bright or flashy. And not so black , that no one can notice the blue. It would be very visible under sun though : )

  7. i would try lorea's  feria colour-- its next to the black but is darkk blue-- it looks blue with direct light...

i dont think youll have to bleach if you are keeping your hair dark- i.e two shades near your colour now

  8. No, not if your hair is black.  Be careful pulling the color up.  If you don't know what your doing you may ruin your hair.
