Can I dye my hair with marker?

I just wanted to see if pink looked good in my hair. So would it hurt my hair if I dyed it pink with marker?

depends on your hair color + type of marker.

a crayola marker or such will stain for 1 or 2 washings...UNLESS YOUR HAIR IS BLONDE. the lighter your hair, the longer it will stay in.

If you use a sharpie marker or other permanant marker, it will stay in slightly longer and again stain blonde hair more.

I used to use a sharpie to do black streaks in my hair, its not "good" for your hair by any means but won't significantly damage it by simply doing it once or twice just to see how you like it! =]

Lol. Yeah you would be able to get some idea what your hair would look like pink but the marker might not look like what it would look like if you actually dyed it. You might as well get a semi-permenant dye and just do it. If you use Manic Panic it should wash out in less than two weeks. My sister did pink in her blonde hair just recently and it went away really quickly. If you like it then there are more permanent colored dyes you can use like Raw Color. You can get Manic Panic online or at a public hair salon supplier.

You can try.  I don't think it would particularly hurt your hair, and hair does grow and you can cut it.  I am sure it will work to a certain extent, especially if you use permanent markers, though I don't know if the permanent ones come in pink.  If you use permanent marker you may have to live with it for a while, or cut your hair.

   yeah but just do it on like a tiny bit because i think its bad for your hair or you could just use a little bit of non permanent dye and if it looks bad die it back to your color...

LOL I actually did that when I was in high school. I could see it but it didn't work too well as my hair is dark. I don't think you can do it in the way that would look nice if you do it on your own, but you can try it. I doubt it hurt your hair, though. It will take a while to do this, though. You might wanna just drop by a hair salon and get your hair done (with real hair color) there.

nooo silly, first of all you have to bleach your hair then buy pink hair dye. a relly good one is called punky, and a relly good bleach is sally`s hair bleach.

No. It's unreasonable and terribly bad for your hair's health. If you want it dyed you should go to a professional hairstylist. They would get your hair permanently dyed so it won't wash out. If you don't get a professional hairstylist to do it, it may kill your hair. Or the type of marker may kill your hair so it's not as healthy as it was before you dyed it.

Try it with a highlighter or spray paint...it will wash out. or you can buy non permanent stuff at the drug store or dollar store.

ps. the color will look darker on your hair so if u want a lighter pink use a lighter color marker
