Can I eat peaches with peach leaf curl?

My peach tree is LOADED with peaches right now, but almost all of them have the black spotting on them from peach leaf curl. If I cut away the bad parts, can I still eat the peaches? I have young children and don't want to risk getting them sick! Thanks!

  1. Yes, if you are able to have some part of the fruit left after cutting out the bad portions, they are edible and will not make you sick.  However, having the black spotting on them will cause those parts of the fruit to be more susceptible to decay, so your peaches are going to go bad faster than if they were completely perfect.
