Hello,

I used to work in USA, so I have my valid work permit. I had to leave USA for an emergency and now I want to return to my job. But I don't have a work visa, I have only visitor visa.

Can I enter USA without showing a return ticket?

  1. You have a valid work permit, but you do not have a work visa?  But you do have a visitor visa?  But not a return ticket?  I'm confused.

Basically, you are bound to maintain the status of whatever visa with which you make your entry into the US, until you apply for, and are granted, a change of status.

  2. It's not clear from your post what kind of work permit you have.  Is it based on a pending green card application or what?  You need to be careful about entering a B visa. This visa does not permit work and may undermine a previously issued work auth. card.

  3. Yes. State laws will allow you to work here. Remember not to file your taxes. Also have plenty of kids here. No money. No problem. File for a grant. You get free health care, education, ect. Heck, just say some one hit you and you can sue for millions. Please come now before Tancredo becomes president.
