  1. You should not be feeding it anything....especially NOT hotdogs.  Please follow these instructions:

If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly. You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it. If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest. Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched. If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival. Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own. Look for a rehab here:

  2. noooo!

fed canned cat food, or go buy some baby bird food at the store.

  3. No way if u do it will die feed him nuts and dried up bannans and sum egg in the moning i no  giving a bird eggg sounds weird but i have 4  birds and so im a preety good kid when u need to no about birds

  4. Well, technically, you can, but I wouldn't advise it. I remember I found a few baby birds but we just fed them sugar milk, bread, and seeds, and other stuff, and they were fine afterwards. (Actually, one had a broken wing or something but then it healed and flew away). So I wouldn't feed it hot dogs.

  5. no! baby birds and grown birds eat worms, and all sorts of bugs. your best bet would be to go to a pet store, buy some PINHEAD crickets (any crickets that are bigger may choke the baby bird) or mealworms or waxworms (maybe even all 3!) and feed those to the baby bird. not hotdog. or you cn even go to a pet store and ask them if they have baby bird feed. but i highly reccommend the bugs. in the wild, they are raised on them and since you found it and its almost fully grown, then it was raised with bugs.

im glad you rescued it.... :D

  6. most birds eat lettuce and you can feed it fruits and other vegtables depending on what species it is

  7. No not a good idea at all. You can give it cat food soaked in water. Drain the water and cut up very small. Depending on what kind of bird it is you can give it seed or buy some mealworms at a store and feed it. If it feathered it can start to eat by itself. Give it the idea and then help it along. If this is a baby bird with feathers that cannot fly yet you should have left it where you found it unless it was in danger. these babies are called fleglings and the mother makes them leave the nest and live on the ground for a few days. She will come back and feed them. Even if yu have touched it it wont matter they have a poor sense of smell. IF you have not had it to long and it is not injured I would put it back where you found it and hide for about 1 hour and watch. See if mamma or dad come back. If not then keep it warm, fed and call a vet and get a number for a wildlife rehabber in your area and take there. Birds have very special needs and it seems like you must care about it or you would not have helped it. Its best chance of survival is with the parents or a rehabber. It is also agains law to keep many wild birds and can lead to some hefty fines. Good luck.

  8. No. Birds are not meat eaters........put some bread squares in milk and feed this!
