Can I feed a cherry barb vegetables?

Yes you can feed it tiny pieces of carrots and you can also feed them peeled,cooked and mashed green peas. Also they eat a varitety of veges. Don't feed them big chunks and don't always feed them veges. Every day or they'll get swimbladder disease. Goodluck!!!!

I don't know about carrots but fish love lettuce also cucumber. I know its not a veggie but something that fish really go nuts for & is super healthy for them is orange. If you put a slice in they will go to town on it & it also provides them with some extra vitamin C that they need.

Vegetables are great, especially for omnivores like Barbs.  However, I wouldn't expect carrots to work too well as they are very hard.  If you want to get some orange into its diet, either boil the carrots to soften them up a bit (don't let them sit in the tank too long, as they'll rot faster now that the cellulose has been broken down) or even orange slices.  Boiled lettuce, spinach, zucchini, cucumber, grape, and banana slices also work very well.
