  1. i found this website on vitamin D's effect on hamsters

    basically it's better to give it green vegetables instead of the milk because too much vitamin D can be dangerous to it, the same with any other vitamin.

    this was taken off the website: "Vitamin D can prevent bone problems such as rickets. Too much Vitamin D can cause weight loss and illness. Vitamin D is found in green vegetables"

    so unless your going to do some math to see how much vitamin D is in the amount of milk your giving it i wouldn't do it just to be on the safe side. but if you have a vet for it i would ask them how much or if any at all would be ok for your hamster.
