Can I feed my kitten with tuna mixed with hard food?

My 9 week old kitten won't eat hard food alone but she will if I mix a bit of tuna (almo nature pouches) with it. However, I've heard you shouldn't get into the habit of feeding cats tuna? How do I avoid this but still get her to eat!?

My kitty would throw up if we fed her tuna. We gave her a small bit once and we will never do that again.

Buy her pouches of kitten wet food rather than just giving her tuna. The 'habit' you are refering to is feeding cats human packaged tuna. Its is always best to stick to cat food.

Mix the kitten pouches with the dry food and she'll be fine.

you can feed her tuna but you should limit fish intake to max 3 times a week. tuna and other fish should be an occassional treat.

you can buy chicken/turkey/duck/lamb based canned cat food and mix say 2 spoonfuls into her kibbles. experiment with brands like natural balance, innova evo, wellness, instinct etc and see which brand does she prefer.

I gave my kittens Felix kitten food when they were about 12 weeks old, before that they were still nursing but I would feed them warm chicken mixed with (whiskas) milk. I think tuna is quite rich and salty for a Kitten.

Some people say that Tuna has high levels of Mercury in it so it's bad for any living thing to eat in large quantities. Also it might make your cat fussy and hard to feed later on.

I have one fussy cat who my mum spoils and he will only eat tuna or hi-life, he is a nightmare when he doesn't get what he wants!

If you google "kittens and tuna", you will find the answer of why you should not feed tuna to cats, it is probably the taste of the tuna it likes, you can add a bit of warm water to the dry to soften it..my kitten loves the taste of ocean white fish can food, and it is healthy for her.
