  1. Iceberg lettuce has very little nutritional value and is made up mostly of water. Because of this it can easily cause diarrhea. I wouldn't recommend feeding it, instead I'd feed a healthier lettuce like romaine lettuce.

  2. He could b alergic so test out only alittle

  3. No. All rodents have some type of problem digesting it. So do rabbits. But I do think you can feed him/her regular lettuce!!

    Hope I helped!!

  4. Actually, you can.  And to all the people saying it has "no nutrients"... that is absolutely not true.  It does have nutrients (fair amounts of vitamin C and some B vitamins) though in MUCH smaller amounts than the dark green lettuces like leaf lettuce or romaine lettuce.  But there's no reason not to give iceburg lettuce to rats.  It's not bad for them at all.

  5. Iceburg Lettuce it motley made out of water and too much water can give the rats diarrhea so I would suggest giving them only a small handful once a week.

    HOPE THIS HELP,

  6. Well, rodents (all rodents, including rats) enjoy fresh fruits and veggies, most like lettuce too. HOWEVER, iceberg has literally NO nutritional value and is  mostly water so it frecuently causes dihareah in our fuzzy companions. So, if you want to feed your rat lettuce, skip the iceburg and get some Romaine. Its also better for you to eat as well =]

  7. You can but you shouldn't they can't digest it and it has no nutrients to it. I know it kills rabbits, but rats are much more hardy than them.

If you really want to give your rat lettuce give them something with nutrients like romaine.

(A little side note: Don't give your rat peanut butter!(Or anything high in protien for that matter that is not in her normal pet food) I had a rat who loved it, but if a rat gets too much protien they get this skin condition where basically they have an unhealable scab that just gets bigger and bigger and it is SOOOO hard to get rid of. My rad got if from too much peanut butter and she had scabs on her back for like over a year.)
