Today was the 2nd time some stupid-has-nothing-better-to-do-cop left a $76.00 ticket on my camry for expired tabs.

I know that it's my fault for having expired tabs but I lost my job a couple of months ago so I have no money. Plus what's the harm if it's PARKED- let alone in FRONT OF MY HOUSE!

Could I fight these tickets??? By the way, I live in Northern California

  1. oh man lol that sucks! what a jerk... u should totally steal someone elses tabs

  2. Go to motor vehicle dept of your state and get a non-op permit, cost around 7 dollars and show this to a judge. maybe you get lucky and dismiss the case.

  3. Actually, if the vehicle isn't being used he can't legally ticket you for it.

P.S. Turn the car around so the cop cant see the tags.

  4. Nope.  you don't have to be  in your car driving for a cop to give you a ticket for expired tags.

  5. If it is on the street,he could give you a ticket everyday if he wanted to. A vehicle has to properly registered to be parked on the street.

The next ticket might be a three day warning to get tags or get towed.

  6. if your car orvehicle is parked on the street, it must be licensed and insured
