I want her to come as soon as possible, she is in pakistan. & immigration has not even started the I-130 applic. process. I applied in October 2007, and its been about a year. I dont know if I should get help with a lawyer or not, because they say that due to the massive applications handed in last july, it will take 2 years just for the application begin process and 1 more year for her to come. Could someone please help?

  1. You may submit a form I-129f on behalf of your spouse so that she can apply for a K-3 visa. There is nothing stopping you from filing a K-3 petition.

If her I-130 has been approved and received at the consular post, a K-3 visa will not be issued, but it does not appear that you will have to worry about that at this time.
