They attached a bank lien and took all the money I had in my checking account although I have been paying current on my child support. I had gone to the San Diego Child Support Department and all is current. Suddenly they calculated some penalties for some arrears but I will still making the required payments. I just think it's wrong that they can do that.

  1. Yes they can do that. There is no "warrant" for that type of thing it is called a writ of execution or bank levy. It doesnt matter if you were making the required payments, if there were penalties, and they werent paid up, then unfortunately for you, they can levy your bank account.

  2. If they got a lien or fi.fa. properly, then they are allowed to garnish your bank account for the money owed.

  3. Yes it can happen the government can make your life suck seriously if you don't abide by the laws, and there is nothing you can do about it. Be glad they did not throw you in jail.

  4. child support and the IRS can do pretty much anything to get money owed to them...if you have evidence you've been paying and are current, then i would take that to the child support agency and find out wats up

  5. You can thank the liberal Democrats for this type of activity. They are appropriating  other peoples money across the country to support their brand of socialism.
