Can I file charges against this site that owns an internet currency and on which I sold many of my art pieces, but then got banned for a borderline unjust reason, thus losing both the e-currency I earned, and the rights to my art?

  1. You could proably take them to e-court and have an e-lawyer sue them for a gazillion e-currencies!

Do the e-currencies have any real value?

  2. You can certainly sue to retrieve the rights to your art work.  It is doubtfull you can sue for reinstatement on the site.  As a private organization, they control their own website and who can access it.  Depending on what contract you agreed to when you signed up, you may or may not be bale to gain access to your 'e-currency', for whatever that's worth, but I doubt it.  It's sort of like Yahoo points: if you get kicked off Yahoo (which they can do any time they feel like), you will lose all your accumulated points.  Since they are worthless, not a big deal, but the point is the same.

  3. Depends on the website. You're not giving enough details on the situation.

  4. The problem you may be most concerned with is what State has jurisdiction for your case. I'd print the site rules and what ever other documentation you have on your "violation" and see if you can find a lawyer to look at what you have. Many lawyers will look at your case and provide an evaluation at no cost.
